Murder at Sea

The luxury cruise liner, the Intrepid Star Lines ‘Capricorn Star’ has just set sail, bound for New York, with Captain Caruthers Seaforth at the helm. On board is a reporter for ‘The Daily Topic’ called Linus Maine-Sail, revered for his catchphrase ‘the truth will out’. He is making a documentary to be filmed on Channel 10, called ‘Life on the ocean wave’. His intrusive, paparazzi style reporting makes him disliked, and at the same time respected, by everyone he meets. Prior to the cruise, he knows something about each of the characters, but his somewhat devious and underhand skills of investigation and nose for a story give him further information on each character as the cruise progresses. As the plot thickens, it becomes clear to the audience that each character has a secret they would prefer to keep that way.

The paying passengers aboard the ‘Capricorn Star’ have been invited to dine at the Captain’s table in the evening. The tension mounts, a storm approaches and all passengers are forced to return to their cabins for the night, but one person will not see the light of day again.
