Murder at Pottingfield Park

The penniless Potts family are desperate to hold onto their way of life at their much loved home, Pottingfield Park. They are attempting to negotiate a deal with local developer, Sir Nigel Mason, which they hope will enable them to continue living at Pottingfield Park. However, Sir Nigel, a self-made millionaire, and his rather pushy secretary, Cynthia Stone, have other ideas involving theme parks and anything but tradition.

For the Honourable Priscilla Ranger, daughter of Lord and Lady Potts, who is married, beneath her station, to the family’s Gamekeeper, the retention of Pottingfield Park is essential as she lives for her horses and has ideas of her own for making the estate a going concern. She and her activist friend, Holly Maple-Ash, strive to make things difficult for Sir Nigel by staging a sit-in style protest. Meanwhile, Alfred Ranger goes about his business in the grounds, feeding pheasants and mending the pontoon to the Boathouse, whilst keeping the disreputable local builders, Sandy Mortar and Tyler Grout, under some kind of control. And what does District Councillor, Forsythia Copse, do in her spare time, and with whom? Forthcoming local elections certainly seem to influence the way she sits on the fence over the proposed development.

Welcome to the many off the wall goings-on at Pottingfield Park!
