Murder in Ancient Rome

It is the day before the annual gladiatorial games in the ancient town of Urticaria Major. Crowds are gathering to watch the long awaited duel between the explosive reigning champion Vesuvius and the suave pretender Marvellus. But there is more at stake than mere glory. Both gladiators are fighting for their freedom within an empire led by a man whose ridiculous laws are stifling the ordinary people and who relies on the dubious forecasts of a dithering soothsayer to help him rule.

However, the pre-games formalities are interrupted when news of a plot to kill the Emperor comes to light. Is the Roman Army up to the task of defending the Emperor……and is there some other dastardly plot afoot? What exactly does go on in Melodia Minor and is Marcus Collossus about to overthrow the Roman Empire? There are plenty of colourful characters with many a scheme up their sleeves (or togas!), but which one might be a murderer – and who will be their victim?

Welcome to Urticaria Major!
